Window displays are a great way for businesses to market their products and services to potential customers. The use of graphics can draw attention to your office or store front. Here is a look at the various options available to you.
Like most anything deemed a sticker, these are not re-positionable; once they are put in place, the adhesive will keep them there. Window stickers are ideal for providing information that does not change, such as your store name and logo, your telephone number, and your hours of business.
While window decals have some adhesive, it is not quite as strong as that use on window stickers. They have a bit of wiggle room to re-position while they are being installed, before the adhesive will set completely. Window decals are considered semi-permanent, which makes them ideal for conveying information that isn't changed very often. For example, if a business partners with a particular product, the likelihood of that relationship ending is small. A paint store that sell a specific brand of paint will probably continue to do so in the future.
Window decals come in a variety of types:
- Perforated Window Decal- A perforated decal has small holes punched throughout the decal. This allows the sign to be vibrant and convey the message to outsiders, but without blocking the light in your store. They provide one-way visibility. From inside your store, you will be able to see out, but customers won't be able to see in. They will have to enter the store to see what you have to offer. Perforated window decals are good for businesses that need to preserve some privacy.
- Opaque Window Decal- An opaque window decal will block visibility from either side, although most will still allow diffused natural light to come through. An opaque window decal is ideal when maximum privacy is desired.
- Clear Window Decal- This is simply a decal that has been printed on clear material, allowing two-way visibility and maximum light to shine through.
These decals use static to adhere to the windows. They are usually only used inside whereas the other options can be used outdoors as well if desired. Because they have no adhesive backing, they are easy to re-position and remove. They also won't leave any residue. Static clings are frequently used for holidays and seasonal applications, such as a "Fall Into Savings" decal used in autumn or to advertise Christmas specials.Share
